Warranty Service
Shimano warrants to the original purchaser that this product will be free from non-conformities in material or workmanship for the period of one year from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt for all warranty claims. Retailers and wholesale outlets are not required or authorized to perform warranty repairs or exchanges on behalf of Shimano, nor are they authorized to modify this warranty in any way. Shimano reserves the right to refuse service on any claim.
Warranty Service Requests must meet the following criteria:
- Reels must be submitted for servicing within one year of purchase.
- You must submit a copy of the dated sales receipt of your reel
Make sure your product is purchased from an authorized Shimano seller!
"Non-localized" products may not be eligible for manufacturer warranty. Read more about it here before submitting a warranty claim

All Warranty Repair submissions are subject to an inspection upon receipt:
- For issues deemed to have occurred due to non-conformities in material or workmanship, Shimano will, at the company’s discretion, either repair or replace your reel at no charge.

For issues deemed to be the result of normal wear and tear, corrosion, misuse, abuse, alteration, accidental damage, or neglect, will, at the company’s discretion, be repaired or replaced for a specific fee (please see our Reel Repair Services section for applicable fees). A full estimate will be provided for your approval before any fees are levied.
- Bearings are not covered under warranty
- Reels that have been disassembled or modified do not qualify for warranty. If you feel you have a warranty issue please send in reel as is.
