Rod Express Service


Commitment to the angler has been the driving force behind our brands. The Shimano Rod Express Service Plan reflects that commitment. Occasionally, things do not go as planned and you experience accidental rod breakage. In these cases, the Rod Express Service Plan has you covered!  

The Shimano Rod Express Service Plan only applies to select rod series and is limited to one replacement per rod. Please speak with one of our customer service agents to find out if your rod is eligible for Express replacement.


How the Rod Express Service Plan works:

  • Please contact the appropriate service number.

  • Advise the Agent that you would like to confirm eligibility for the Rod Express Service Plan. Have your exact rod model and payment information ready. All Express Service orders are processed at 50% off MSRP
  • If we no longer offer the model or it is not in stock, Shimano will, at its discretion, replace it with the closest comparable rod from our current product line. 
  • Once our Agents confirm your Express Order has been placed, the replacement rod will ship within two business days (pending availability). 
  • When you receive your new rod, please cut out the logo section of your broken rod that contains the model number, lure and line ratings as well as the born-on date that is etched into the rod (see image below).

  • Place the logo section of the broken rod into a small box or padded mailing envelope and send it in to the address below.

Attn Express Returns

  • Be sure to include your order number for reference so we know its your return. It will be on the packing slip that comes with your new rod. Logo sections of broken rods must be returned within 30 days of receiving your new rod.
  • If you fail to return the logo section of your broken rod within 30 days of receiving your replacement, you authorize Shimano to charge the full MSRP of the replacement rod to your method of payment.
  • If you are an authorized Shimano dealer and fail to return the logo section of the broken rod  within 30 days of receiving your replacement, you authorize Shimano to charge your account the full Dealer Price of the replacement rod.
