Fusing Shimano's most advanced manufacturing capabilities with the needs of anglers, the Ocea Jigger is a flagship-level star drag jigging reel. Boasting Shimano’s Infinity Drive technology, Ocea Jigger offers paramount cranking power by reducing friction between the pinion gear and spool shaft, greatly improving rotational torque. Combined with MicroModule gearing, anglers will experience unmatched gear feeling. X-Protect enhances durability and water resistance by utilizing a water repellant coating and a labyrinth construction to funnel water away from key wear parts. The adjustable, two-position, long-crank handle combined with the Spool Lock allow anglers to more safely break off snagged lures. The Auto-Clutch easily engages the reel out of free spool to react to quick bites, and Shimano’s Exciting Drag Sound alerts anglers when they are in jeopardy of pulling hooks or breaking off. The bottom line: the Ocea Jigger is packed with features that add up to provide all-day jigging ease and comfort.

Cross Carbon Drag Baitcasting

The Cross Carbon Drag material provides a wider range of drag settings compared to traditional drag materials. The Cross Carbon Drag provides the smoothest Shimano drag performance ever while providing anglers with increased durability.

Exciting Drag Sound

Exciting Drag Sound technology enables drag sound on a baitcasting reel without using the function of a rattle or clicker. This ultimately makes it easy for an angler to determine whether a fish is pulling drag and provides an advantage during the fight.

HAGANE Body Baitcasting

The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing on the reel while fighting fish. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power, increasing efficiency through strength.

MicroModule Gear Baitcasting

The MicroModule Gear system creates a smooth retrieve by utilizing smaller teeth to increase the number of contact points between the drive gear and pinion gear. Ultimately, this produces a more efficient gear train with less of a gear feel.

S A-RB Baitcasting

S A-RB bearings are put through the same process as Shimano’s A-RB bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. These shields reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting rotation of the bearing.

S-Compact Body

S-Compact Body allows for all-day comfort and improved fishability by making the palming side plate up to 25% smaller than the A-Side plate.
