Overview

Infused with Shimano's most advanced blank materials and technologies, the Outlier series of technical swimbait rods offers anglers actions designed for maximum utility, durability and sensitivity on the water. To create a blank with ultimate compressional and torsional rigidity, engineers employed two top-tier Shimano manufacturing processes—Spiral X and Hi-Power X. These processes prevent the blank from twisting and rolling, enhancing accuracy and control when casting big baits while providing increased power for battling large fish. Durable components like a custom carbon fiber-infused CI4+ reel seat and double-foot Fuji K-Frame guides with SiC inserts are built to withstand the strain of bulky, long-range bait deployment and retrieval. To ensure superior grip and comfort, all rods in the Outlier series feature thoughtfully designed custom spiral EVA handles with durable heat-wrapped exteriors, minimizing angler fatigue and allowing for extended sessions on the water. Available in six unique actions, with a range of powers tuned to accommodate specific bait weights and lengths, Shimano tailored the Outlier series to meet the tactical challenges of technical swimbait fishing.
