Friction causes power loss
At the center of a spinning reel is a rod-shaped component called the "main shaft," which can be seen when the spool is removed. This main shaft is the heart of the reel and plays the role of supporting the spool. However, in conventional designs, the main shaft comes into contact with the pinion gear, causing friction. This friction disperses the force that winds the line, resulting in "power loss" where power is not transmitted efficiently.

The "Infinity Drive" dramatically reduces friction by supporting the main shaft, which was previously supported by a pinion gear, with a special low-friction bushing or an optimized pinion gear support. Furthermore, a special surface treatment is applied to the main shaft to further reduce power loss due to friction. As a result, the force when rotating the handle is more easily transmitted directly to the reel, directly transferring the angler's power. This enables powerful winding even under heavy load. Even when fighting large fish, the angler will always maintain control and be able to engage in a powerful fight with an advantage, without giving the fish the upper hand.

"X-SHIP," like Infinity Drive, is a gear system that optimizes the reel's gear winding efficiency. It fundamentally redesigns the gear rotation performance, increasing the diameter of the drive gear, optimizing the arrangement of the pinion gear and drive gear, and supporting the front and rear of the pinion gear with two bearings. This achieves a robust gear meshing, enabling smooth reeling even under heavy loads. Combining "Infinity Drive" and "X-SHIP" creates a synergistic effect, making the reel's winding even lighter and more effortless. You will particularly notice this effect when fighting large fish or using lures with high drag resistance.
