A Few Thoughts on the Upcoming Season:
I usually kick off musky opener with family or friends, then guiding starts and the real grind begins. My season runs from late May straight through freeze‑up in November or December, and I love every minute of it.
I’m not big on superstitions, but catching one on the first cast of the first spot has burned me enough times that I notice it. Still, musky fishing is all about stubbornness.
Keep grinding. Keep casting. They’re out there , and they have to eat!
